In all honesty, I would Love to give Treasure Report a chance, but since the game is never released outside of Japan, unless there is a fan translation I wont understand the games plot and what makes it different form a Layton game (what is a difference between a rip-off or a game that has many elements buts is different in some way) (via NintendoUnite)

Artwork and models for the Layton Rip-Off Treasure Report: The Mechanized Legacy, which according to the director is Layton for grown ups despite the A rating. Oh and the story is about newspaper reporter John Evans and Camera woman Emily Smith in the hunt for a wealthy inheritance (sound familiar) in the 19th century
